Receiving Agricultural Product with Parity

Over the years working with our agricultural customers, we have identified the need to streamline the bulk receiving process, whether the product comes in bins on a flat bed or needs to be binned out from a hopper trailer.

ParityFactory’s Advanced Receiving module gives the users the flexibility they need to adapt to changes on the fly while ensuring crucial data is being captured for a real-time look into current inventory.

How ParityFactory’s Advanced Receiving Module Works

When the truck arrives, we capture important P.O. information such as Field of Origin, Country of Origin, and Product Grade. Also, Parity has the ability to integrate with truck scales to automatically capture the weight of the truck effortlessly. This information stays with the product’s Lot Code through its life cycle in ParityFactory.

Then, depending on if the trailer is a hopper or flat bed, Advanced Receiving allows the users to specify the number of bins and preprint barcoded labels to apply to the bin. The ability to preprint labels can help bridge the Wi-Fi limits at some receiving yards until the product reaches its storage locations.

Once the truck is completely unloaded, ParityFactory captures the empty weight of the truck to calculate the net weight of the product and applies the average bin weight to each pallet. At this point, we can print the weight certificate directly from Parity, eliminating any need for manual entry and the errors that come with it.

Overall, Parity’s Advanced Receiving Model has helped Agricultural customers improve the balance of data accuracy and efficiency giving them a new way to empower their business decisions. It’s just one aspect of ParityFactory that’s been built and improved over the years to serve our AG customers.
